Faders @ Zero

Digi Trim has to be the most unappreciated plugin. Becoming highly devoted to it since all faders can be untouched. A very Zen looking mix window.

Jammin' with M83 Ok here's another track to dust off your guitar on. Verse is Bb to C and the Chorus is the same except with a passing glance at the Dm chord before repeating the progression. On the bridge the Dm makes a longer appearance and you go Dm to Bb and then the main progression reverses itself and you get C to Bb before resolving back to Bb to C on the last chorus. Enjoy!

Parallel Compression

Really liked the sound of parallel compression on a stereo bus track of kick and snare on a track we just finished. Was hesitant 2 try it out because everyone seems 2 do it and sometimes that can keep u from finding yr own sound. But sometimes there are exceptions where something is so good u can't pass it up and this is 1 of them. If u aren't familiar with it parallel compression is where u mix in a highly compressed version of an audio track with a lightly or non-compressed version. It serves 2 add a lot more power and punch than u would get otherwise. So try it out if u haven't already done so.

Nice Grooves

Checking out the tune 'Jesus' by Dom. Worth throwing on yr ipod 4 sure. Here's a link:

If u wanna play it just go C/Dm on the verse and Em/Dm on the chorus. The lead guitar is just Cmaj pentatonic (C D E G A). Not hard to figure out just play along with the mp3.
Working on a special Halloween Galaxy Swan jam and that should be around in time to scare the kiddies. Oh, yeah...It's called 'The Baby Is Dead' so u wr warned.
